JASON ADAMO (Sam) is a newcomer to the New York theatre, having
recently relocated from Philadelphia. His New York debut was in this summer's production of Jane Eyre: The Musical
at the Wings Theatre Company. In the Philadelphia region he appeared in numerous shows, including Camila (Walnut
Street Theatre), Brigadoon (Bristol Riverside Theatre), Cyrano de Bergerac and Evita with the Actor's
Company of Pennsylvania, Li'l Abner (Allenberry Playhouse), Gershwin, By George (The Baby Grand at the Wilmington
Grand Opera House), and Delaware Theatre Company's 2002 Playwrights' Festival. Jason is a graduate of La Salle
University in Philadelphia.
EDWARD ANTHONY (Lipschitz) is making his Off-Broadway debut in
A Stoop on Orchard Street. He is a recent graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York.
He has appeared in over fifty shows across New York and was awarded the NYSTI "Award of Excellence," two consecutive years.
His credits include Godspell (Judas), Sweeney Todd (Pirelli), and Guys and Dolls (Sky Masterson).
He wishes to thank Jay Kholos and Lon Gary for letting him be part of their vision, and his family, friends, and the Crane
Acting Troupe, for making his dreams come to life. He also wishes to dedicate his performance to a dear friend, Jeff
Lovell, who recently moved on to a "better place." "...as long as light returns from its immeasurable journey, we will
never be lost." Thanks Mom.
MAX DAMASHEK (Benny) is making his Off-Broadway debut in A Stoop
on Orchard Street. Other theater credits include Flyer, the Musical (Young Orville Wright) at the Lamb's
Theatre, and Estranged (Young William) at the Century Center for the Performing Arts. Max, a fifth grader at
Columbia Grammar in New York City, sings, writes, and plays piano and violin. Thanks to Mom and Dad, Jordan, Aunt Nancy,
Uncle Jeff, his bubbies, Myra's Kids Management, and his vocal coaches Steve Potfora and Albin Konopka.
ELENI DELOPOULOS (Ruth) holds a BA from Fordham College at Lincoln
Center. She is also an alumna of the National Theater Institute at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, and attended the
University of Southern California. Favorite roles include Little Women (Jo), Female off Couple (Florence),
Better Living (Elizabeth), and Fiddler on the Roof (Tzeitel). Eleni is the co-writer of a new musical
comedy, The Women of Athens, based on Lysistrata, which premiered at Fordham this spring, and will be seen
as an Equity reading at NYTW in the fall. Eleni thanks Lon, Tom, and Jay for trusting her with this role; the cast and
crew; her parents for their endless support; and her friends and family for being the wonderful people they are!
DANIEL J. FISCHER (Cop/Guard) makes his Off-Broadway debut in A
Stoop on Orchard Street. Hailing from Colorado where he just completed his BA in Musical Theatre with an emphasis
in Acting, Daniel has been seen in such dynamic roles as: Grand Hotel (Baron), Side Show (The Boss), Brigadoon
(Tommy Albright), Forever Plaid (Smudge), Joseph... (Gad/Butler), Little Shop of Horrors (Voice),
and Finding the Sun (Henden). Daniel thanks his family, Heathe and God for their love and support.
LON GARY (Old Man) has lived and worked in Nashville, TN since leaving
New York ten years ago. A Stoop on Orchard Street marks his New York directorial debut. Other directing
credits include Brighton Beach Memoirs, Zoo Story, The Death of Bessie Smith and Viet Rock
(a rock musical for which he also wrote the music and lyrics). Favorite theater roles include Adolph in The Last
Night of Ballyhoo, George Hay in Moon Over Buffalo, Salieri in Amadeus, Tevye in Fiddler on the
Roof, and Fagin in Oliver. He has also appeared in videos, TV, and film, and his voice and face can be
heard and seen in numerous commercials. He has also been a nightclub and concert singer and songwriter.
JILL GUREASKO (Volunteer) has performed regionally playing the roles
of Golde in Fiddler, Domina in Forum, Sister Robert Ann in Nunsense, and Maude Dunlap in The
Music Man. Her most recent role was Mom in Mantle, Maris and Mom at the Castillo Theatre in Soho, with
music written by Grammy Award nominee, Annie Roboff. Jill has performed in many cabarets in new York and belongs to
the Genesius Guild Theatre Company.
ELEANORE GUTWEIN (Immigrant) is thrilled to be making her Off-Broadway
debut. She is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan's Musical Theatre Department. She has performed
all over the country in such shows as Fiddler (Chava), You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Lucy), and 42nd
Street (Lorraine). Eleanore can most recently be heard doing voice-overs for MTV. She would like to thank
her mom, dad, Lilly, David, Randy, and the rest of her friends for their endless support and love. And finally, she
would like to dedicate this performance to the loving memory of all her grandparents: Sarah, Cal, Hattie-NY, and Grandpa Arthur.
KATHERINE HERRINGTON (Mrs. Lipschitz) is delighted to be making
her Off-Broadway debut in A Stoop on Orchard Street. Her previous credits include Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat (Narrator), Man of LaMancha (Aldonza), Oklahoma! (Ado Annie), Little Shop
of Horrors (Chiffon), and Die Zauberflote (2 Dame). Most recently, she participated in the 2003 Fringe
Festival in New York and the Spoleto Arts Symposia in Spoleto, Italy. She is a recent graduate of the American Musical
and Dramatic Academy. Katherine would like to thank her family and friends for their inspiration and tireless support
of her dreams.
KRISTIAN HUNTER LAZZARO (Kovasky) has performed regionally at Hartford
Stage, Trinity Repertory, the Monomoy Theater, New Gate Theater, Perishable Thheater, adn most recently, as a lead singer
abroad a Royal Caribean Cruise Ship. He is also a songwriter and has performed as a member of two Comedy Improv Troupes.
Young audience members may have seen Kristian this past spring, playing the role of Tommy in The Apple Corps.
Kristian has a BFA in Musical Theater from the Hartt School, Magna Cum Laude. Thanks to Mark, Paul and my wonderful
family and mostly, Ben.
STUART MARSHALL (Shlomo) has appeared with Mill Mountain Theatre
(VA) in their musical Pocahontas, with Folksbiene Yiddish Theatre (NY) in the off-Broadway production Yentl;
at the Harry Warren Theatre (NY) in The Brooklyn Revue, The Locket, A Broadway Story, Shuberts'
Alley, The Melody Lingers On, Godspell, Gemini, Plaza Suite and Same Time Next
Year; at the Park Theatre (NJ) in the original musical revue, Patriotic Moment, at the Skylands Manor (NJ) in
The Fantasticks; at the Bickford Theatre (NJ) in The Odd Couple and Pigeons on the Walk; at the
Union County Arts Center (NJ) in Man of La Mancha, Fiddler on the Roof and Phantom; and with NY
Dinner Theater in their interactive productions, The Soapranos and The Godfather's Meshuggener Wedding.
Recently, Stuart has appeared in the Steven Spielberg movie, Catch Me If You Can, in the HBO Actual Joke Ten-To-One,
and in the trailer Fixation for the book Henry's List of Wrongs. Stuart will soon be seen in the independent
films Anatomy of a Fight, The Poker Game, and Strigoi.
SARAH MATTEUCCI (Sarah) graduated from Barnard College this
May with a BA in Music. She has performed in New York with the Vital Theatre Company, the 78th Street Theatre Lab, and
Columbia University, with such roles as Jenny in Company, and B3 in The B-File. A Boston native, Sarah
studied voice at the New England Conservatory of Music through the Handel and Haydn Society Vocal Apprenticeship Program,
touring Europe and performing as a soloist at Boston's Esplanade. She has also worked with many community and children's
theatres in the area. Her credits include Maria in West Side Story, Queen Aggravain in Once Upon a Matress,
and Chrystal in Little Shop of Horrors.
DAVID MENDELL (Hiram) is a graduate of the University of Southern
California School of Theatre. His New York credits include Maid to Marry at the NY Ionesco Festival, Christmas
Interruptus, The Trojan Women, and a national tour of The Little Prince. Los Angeles and San Francisco
credits include The Comedy of Errors, The Threepenny Opera and Makbeth.
SEAN PATRICK MONAHAN (Benny) is thrilled to be making his Off-Broadway
debut with the talented cast of A Stoop on Orchard Street. His favorite Long Island theatre credits include
Les Miserables (Gavroche), Oliver! (Oliver), Scrooge the Musical (Tiny Tim) and The Secret
Garden (Colin Craven). In addition to his stage work, Sean has performed in national television commercials, promotions
and voiceovers for Valvoline Max Life, VH1's Driven series, Disney/Visa and others. Thanks to J. Mitchell Management,
voice teachers Robert Marks and Karen Sussman, to "big sis" Kelly Anne, and to friends at CM Performing Arts Center, Dance
Studio 188, St. Agnes Music Ministry and Oceanside School #8. Special thanks to Jay, Lon, and Tom for this amazing opportunity
and to Mom, Dad, Kevin, family and friends.
SHAD OLSEN (Simon) is a recent graduate of the American Musical
and Dramatic Academy. He has performed in many operas, musicals, and plays in his native Minnesota and toured in a production
of The Three Musketeers as King Louis XIII. He is currently writing the book and lyrics to a new Native American
musical, and lyrics to a new show about Mary Magdalene.
JONATHAN SCHNEIDMAN (Benny) is happy to be making his Off-Broadway
debut in A Stoop on Orchard Street. Previously, he played the roles of Rooster in Annie, Bert in Mary
Poppins, and the lead role as Sherman in Sherman Gilipnik the Gelt Maker. Jonathan was selected to represent
his school in the Nassau County Choir in 2003. A student as Great Neck North Middle School, he enjoys participating
in all sports.
CAROLYN SEIFF (The Bubbie) just completed a run in Pecadillo Theater
Company's Ladies of the Corridor, by Dorothy Parker. She appeared Off-Broadway in Yentl, and Off-Off
Broadway in Defying Gravity, The Open Gate, Harbor Currents 2001, Poker, Lighthouse, Mama's
Ghost, Uncle Adolph, Shiva, Marriage with the Universe, and Beautiful Dreamer.
Favorite roles include Mame in Mame, Rose in Gypsy, Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, Frau Schneider
in Cabaret, Clariee in Steel Magnolias, Sara in Sisters Rosenzweig, and touring as Rev, Mother
in Nunsense, Golde in Fiddler, and Melissa in State Fair. Carolyn has done numerous commercials,
voice-overs, and industrials, and can be seen as Anthony Michael Hall's mom in the (hopefully) soon-to-be-released film, Funny
Valentine.
KELLY ANNE ZIMMARDI (Seama) is thrilled to be making her Off-Broadway
debut in A Stoop on Orchard Street. Favorite regional credits include: The Diary of Anne Frank
(Anne Frank), The Wizard of Oz (Dorothy), Bus Stop (Elma Duckworth), Today, I am a Fountain Pen
(Annie Ilchack), You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Sally/Lucy) and Pack of Lies (Julie Jackson). She
has done several voice-overs and has appeared in the independent film, Misguided, as Diana. Kelly Anne is currently
pursuing a degree in The Arts through SUNY Empire State College-CDL. She wishes to thank her parents and everyone who
has made this opportunity possible.
